Oliver Rose (Micahel Douglas) and Barbara Rose (Kathleen Turner) seem to have the perfect marriage and the perfect life. They have a beautiful suburban home. Cocoon II The Return

The three men forgetting what it is like on Earth push themselves too much and begin to feel their age catching up to them. Now a biological company has found one of the cocoons and is about to conduct research on it. With the help of their old friend Jack (Steve Guttenberg) they all sneak into the lab to try an attempt a daring rescue.

The Hitcher

Young Jim Halsey (C. Thomas Howell) kindly picks up a hitchhiker while driving through a barren stretch of highway. There are sun bleached proofs of the hitcher's activities scattered along the wayside. Jim gets away, but the hitcher is stalking him. When Jim finds people to tell his story, nobody believes him and soon after, the hitcher comes along all icy menace and violent kills. Jim becomes the prime suspect for the hitcher's crimes and must try outrunning both the police and the hitcher.

The Color Of Money

When he was younger, Fast Eddie Felson (Paul Newman) was a pool hustler, but he ran afoul of the mob and had to give the game up. Now, he lives a relatively quiet life as a liquor salesman. On a sales call to a bar, he notices Vincent Lauria (Tom Cruise), a brash but talented young hustler that reminds Eddie of himself. Eddie agrees to take the young hustler on and teach him the tricks of the trade. The pair hit the road, along with Vincent’s girlfriend Carmen (Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio). Vincent proves to be too headstrong and unappreciative of the older man, so they part ways. Eddie realizes how much he misses pool, and returns to competitive play, culminating in a show down with Vincent in a large Atlantic City tournament.

Platoon

In the Vietnam War a fresh recruit Chris Taylor (Charlie Sheen) struggles to come to terms with the harsh reality of jungle warfare: the heat, the exhaustion and the close proximity to both wildlife and the hidden enemy. After almost causing the destruction of his platoon by freezing up during combat, Taylor becomes embroiled in a conflict between his superiors Sgt. Bob Barnes (Tom Berenger) and Sgt. Elias Grodin (Willem Dafoe) when the former is involved in the massacre of an innocent village. This conflict culminates during a climactic battle between Vietnamese and American forces in which Taylor must confront the duality of human nature.
