Three kidnappers lead by Eddie (Joe Mantegna) set out to take Bennington August Cottwell IV "Baby Bink" (Adam and Jacob Worton) while he poses for a photograph for the society pages of the Chicago newspaper. But Baby Bink escapes his kidnappers by crawling out a window, down a fire escape and through city traffic. He manages to not only evade his kidnappers but also all kinds of other calamities while he goes unnoticed as he visits a department store, the zoo and finally a construction site. It is Baby Bink's mother (Lara Flynn Boyle) who realizes where he would go based on his favorite picture book. Seeking to find her baby she understands the trivialities of the attention of the society pages compared for her love for her baby.
