Five scientists go into space to study a cosmic storm. However, the storm catches them by surprise. Upon their return to Earth, they find themselves transformed. Johnny Storm gains powers of fire and flight. His sister Sue can project force fields and become invisible. Reed Richards becomes a human elastic, able to stretch into any shape.
