David Norton (Timothy Hutton) is a world famous sci-fi writer. His books are best sellers and his relationship with his new bride, Jane (Georgia MacKenzie), runs perfectly. Traveling in Majorca, in Spain, for a literary conference at which he was invited, he met Frank Kovak (David Kelly), one of his most fervent admirers. Few focused on the compliments, it tries to avoid him as politely as possible. But on the evening of the conference, Jane receives a strange phone call that impels her to throw herself out the window. Trying to find the reason for this suicide, Norton follows a trail that leads inexorably to Kovak. Around him, other people are mysteriously forced to commit suicide ...
