A group of friends meet after a long period. They go on a boating trip and decide to go swimming. One of the girls is afraid of the water because of a traumatic childhood incident. One of the guys picks her up and throws her over the side. When they are all in the water, they realize that they did not put the ladder over the side. They are trapped in the water. One of the couples has brought their baby and they can hear the shrieking of the baby from the boat. Various secrets are revealed including that the purported owner of the boat is a fraud and it is his employer's boat. They try various desperate plans, including trying to make a rope out of their clothes but they cannot get onto the boat. They desperately pullagainst the sleek fiberglass sides of the boat. One by one they die. Finally only two of them are left and they find a way to get on the boat.
